Angsana Hotels and Resorts, the sister brand to Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts has announced the opening of the Angsana Balaclava in Mauritius.
The recent purchase now means Angsana group now operates 11 resorts and hotels plus over 40 health spas, Hotelier Middle East reported.
Situated on Turtle Bay lagoon, the 51 suite and one villa room resort is a 15 minute drive from the capital of Port Louis in the north west of the Island.
The 51 suites and one villa take on a traditional Mauritian village feel, with thatched roofs, wrought iron gates and local art.
Separated by waterfalls the resorts public areas offer three overlapping pools with most rooms offering their own private plunge pools.
The hotels main restaurant ‘Oryza’ which serves both local dishes as well as international cuisine offers visitors the choice of eating indoors or al fresco.
Guests can also dine at The Passion Grill, which specialises in fresh seafood and offers a unique swim-up bar, while those seeking some private dining can enjoy in-villa dining or private dining experiences.
The Angsana Spa offers nine treatment rooms (three double and six single) a yoga pavilion, a restorative vitality pool with many different water jet stations and a hamman.
The resort also plans to soon launch a conservation team to plant coral and develop other environmental initiatives which will compliment its snorkeling safaris.
