The Westin Changbaishan and Sheraton Changbaishan Resort will become Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide first dual-branded ski resort, set to open in August this year.

Adjacent to one of China’s leading ski areas, the slopes of Changbai Mountains, the highly anticipated resort complex extends Starwood’s reputation as the largest international luxury and upper upscale hotel operator in China.

Starwood’s Senior Vice President of Development for Asia Pacific, Stephen Ho, commented on the group’s excitement at introducing both Westin and Sheraton to Changbai Mountains.

“Guests will enjoy world-class amenities set against the backdrop of one of China’s most visually stunning mountain ranges,” Mr Ho said.

Mr Ho continued to say China was both the fastest growing global market and richest source of loyal travellers to the Starwood Group and that “we expect that this dual-branded Starwood resort development will resonate with Chinese travellers who stick with the brands they know and love.”

The Westin and Sheraton resort complex is a short drive from Changbaishan Airport (NBS) and close to the Yingfu Expressway.? The Changbai mountain range extends through several countries and where guests can enjoy winter activities including downhill trails surrounded by unspoiled pine forests, ice skating and ice fishing.

The Westin Changbaishan Resort offers a total of 257 guestrooms, ski-in/ski-out access, world-class dining, a Westin Kids Club, signature Heavenly Spa and an indoor swimming pool.? Sheraton Changbaishan Resort offers 296 guest rooms and suites with mountain or ski views, as well as a Sheraton Club lounge and Sheraton Club rooms with upgraded amenities.
